2018 Meetings Programme

The Society supports monthly lecture meetings on a variety of toipcs of interest to our members. These are normally held on the first Friday of the month at garston Park Church ( junction of Island Rd and Garston Old Rd). The lectures start at 7.30 pm and cost 2 for members and 3 for non members. Included are light refreshments after the meeting.

2nd March: How we used to live in he 1950s by Barry Humphreys

6th April: Liverpool Shops by Charles Southen

4th May: The Lancashire Goal Machine- Jack Roscoe 1906-96 by Dr Glyn Williams.

1st June: AGM

6th July: The Rainhill Trials by J K Hadfield.

7th September: How Ormskirk treated the evacuees from Liverpool in WW2 by Roger Blaxall.

5th October : Houses of Rodney Street by Married Passey.

2nd November: Members' Contributions & Social Night.

7th December: Christmas Meal and Quiz.
